Thanos is a villain of unequaled ambition. All his life he has searched for the means to give himself power. His drive to control all that is uncontrollable, and rule as monarch over all beings has driven him mad. In his drive for power, Thanos has discovered the locations of the five infinity gems. The gems, once brought together, will form the infinity gauntlet, and will give the wearer of the gauntlet control of anything he wishes.
