A Big 2009 Thank you

It has been a long road and the last 32 weeks have been grueling for us at Albany Scenario Club. While the season is not over, we have a few thank you's that we would like to share, as the season comes to an end.

Lets start off with Tooch... Yeah I don't know what to say here, you talked me into this, and while we don't always see eye to eye, you make sure that we always have the players in mind first. You keep the ball rolling with your smack talking and your imagination. We may have our days, but we do it for the love of the sport and our field.

Brad "That Guy". You came to us late, and it has been a learning curve for all of us. You and Seph saved us with the work and dedication you put into making the field better and more user friendly. We would have been open without you, but we would not be as nice an operation as we are. Thanks for helping us put the finishing touches on a "rough around the edges" field.

Bill "Bieredog" often behind the scenes and not wanting anyone to know you are there, you are always the voice of reason for all of us. You put yourself at great personal risk to get the field open, and we all know and appreciate that. This entire venture would not have happened if you had not stepped up and put the funding we needed in, to get this off the ground and running. You are a true friend and co owner to all of us, and we appreciate you more than you know.

To the Sandbaggers paintball team. Especially Dale "Coywolf", Paul "Sandman", and Scott "Benzin Bruder" The enthusiasm and dedication you guys have shown has inspired not only me, but all of the players at ASC. Our season would have launched, but you guys put in time, and so many small details that just made us look so much better. The painting, the maps, all of the work was really appreciated. We said it before, and we are saying it again, you guys are on us for 2010.

to all the teams that participated this year,The Sandbaggers, Trash Talk, The Wraiths, The Silverbacks, The Black Flies, The Albany Marshals, and The Rubber Duckies. We are proud to have your teams call us home, and appreciate all you have done by way of helping out, and playing at our field. We needed support, and you guys gave it. Thanks!

To so many individual players who jumped in and helped out like Scott "GTRLvr", Troy "the 4th Reich" Himmelreich, and so many others who just came to play, and played over and over. This was a fantastic year, and we will repeat in 2010. Thanks!

To Jerry, "Jerryatric" for the signs, the maps, the props, and so much of our field on your dime...

to all of the volunteer referees, Wheaties, Cool Hand, Nutshot, Brad, Tooch, Micah, Jerry, and anyone who donned our referee uniform for a day- THANK YOU!

Kamikaze... for this website, and our forum, and for the ability to be Jiminy cricket when I need you to. No matter what happens on or off the field, you sir will always be my friend.

did I forget anyone?

oh yeah... Amanda... As you all know, I proposed to Amanda, and for good reason. She has supported me even when she didn't agree with my actions. She works our booth for us, and never asks for anything. She constantly picks up our staging area, keeping it clean. Stokes the fires, keeps the gatorade cold, and makes sure that we (mainly me) eats and drinks when working the field. I could not ask for a better volunteer, supporter and soon, wife. I know no one ever says it, but I am saying it. Thank you. Thank you for being you, and for being one of us....

you make a pretty good main gunner too.

thanks again everyone. See you soon.
